Dr. Pedowitz is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical Center and an Assistant Attending Psychologist at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital. She has extensive training in evidence-based assessment and treatment for adults and couples who are struggling with relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress. Dr. Pedowitz earned her PsyD from Rutgers University and completed her internship training at the New York Harbor VA Healthcare System-Brooklyn Campus. Following this, Dr. Pedowitz completed specialized training in a postdoctoral fellowship at the Military Family Center at NYU Langone Medical Center.Dr. Pedowitz has worked in a variety of clinical settings, receiving intensive training in evidenced-based psychotherapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and emotionally focused therapy (EFT). She has received national provider status in both Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy, two gold standard treatments for PTSD. In addition, she has gained certificiation in EFT following specialized training in treating couples in distress.
